About the PTO
The OBE PTO serves as a bridge between parents, teachers and school staff to enhance the educational experience of the students. Our core goals are to build community, support educational goals, and to support our teachers and staff. We accomplish these goals through various events and other activities throughout the year.
Fundraising
We host a variety of fundraisers so that we can give back to OBE and create our sense of community. We could not accomplish our goals without the support of our community. Our biggest annual fundraiser is our Fun Run and we host periodic spirit nights throughout the school year.
Schoolwide Events & Activities
We host a variety of social events throughout the year for all students and families to promote our school spirit and OBE community, such as Monster Bash, Sock Hop, movie nights, paint night and Donuts with Grownups.
Teachers & Staff Support
We support our teachers and staff through teacher grants, monthly teacher and staff appreciation luncheons, welcome back luncheon, Giving Tuesday fundraising, and our Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week celebration annually in May.
Educational Fieldtrips
We donate back to OBE to specifically provide funding for the various fieldtrips taken througouth the year by the students.
Grade Specific Events
We host events and donate back to the school for grade specific events, such as Kindergarten Popsicles on the Playground, 5th Grade Graduation and Field Day.
